How To Get Rid Of Blackhead?

By

Blackheads are skin blemishes that are caused by oily skin. While they seem to always appear at the worst times, there are many ways to get rid of them as well as prevent them from coming back in the future.

Simple Causes and Fixes

Our pores can naturally drain and keep things out but when they become clogged, this is when a blackhead can occur. Washing your face on a regular basis is one of the most important things you can do to keep from getting blackheads. Some people are more prone to them than others; so how often you wash depends on your skin type. If your skin gets oily quickly, you may need to wash your face more than once a day (even if just with water). While many people think using soap keeps your face clean, it can actually dry out your skin if you are not using the proper kind. Using an acne wash on your face and nothing else, is something many people around the world do to keep their breakouts in check and get rid of blackheads.

Makeup is another cause of blackheads. If you put makeup or other foreign products on your face, it’s important to wash them off in order to give your pores time to breath. If anything is left on your face too long, it can quickly lead to clogged pores and more blackheads.

Exfoliating your skin is a very popular and simple way to not only prevent but get rid of blackheads as well. Exfoliating is going to get rid of dead skin cells (which occur from dry skin most commonly), which will break off and clog your pores.

Masks are commonly used for people with excess oil. These masks help absorb that oil and wash it away as you rinse your face.

The trick is, you don’t want to have skin that is too dry and you don’t want skin that is overly moisturized because both these things can lead to blackheads. Sounds tricky, I know but it’s really not that bad. If these things aren’t working, or you think you need something else to get your face looking how you want it; don’t hesitate to talk to your doctor who can line you up with a good dermatologist in your area.

Medications

If you’re still having issues with breaks outs, it may be time to break out the acne medication. While there are many over the counter products available, it would be a good idea to talk with your doctor before using anything that may irritate your skin. Everyone’s body is different and we all react differently to various products. While something like Proactiv or Clean&Clear may work for many people, they may not be right for you. Read the instructions carefully and only use as directed. Do not use more product than advised, expecting faster results. This can cause more problems than alleviate the original issue.

Remember, you’re not alone in the blackhead department. We all get them; some just get them more than others.
