What should I Purchase, a Keyboard or Digital Piano?

When taking piano or keyboard lessons, types of piano or keyboard should be considered. This is a requirement in order to progress.

Instructors prefer you to have keyboard consists of certain functions, standards and abilities. We will talk about it later.


Purchasing a keyboard affects you budget actually.

Old beat-up 1980’s Casio electronic keyboard may not fit your choice when learning piano.

But small one is yet better than nothing at all. All you need is you hands to get on and to physically put it on the instruments.

When you don’t have any to be use for, try to borrow a keyboard from your friend. Since you don’t want to learn in year or months, there are limitation and missing necessities to know about piano.

You should really consider price and functionality. If you are on a budget, go for a "weighted key" keyboard, with a pedal. You can get into a nice acoustic piano for under 5k, but beware...used piano shopping can be like used car shopping!
